Director of Business Development, Sales, and Partnerships

This position involves a holistic responsibility of sales and development. We envision this role diving deep into the Ashley Chloe business model and generating new markets, developing key growth plans, representing Ashley Chloe to key stakeholders and potential partners, and enacting strategies with an overall vision in mind.
Drive growth, negotiating partnerships, distribution, and generate new users for the company.
Develop, formulate, refine, research, document and communicate strategic plans. Business strategy development including primary research, industry, market and competitive analysis, customer/partner needs assessment.
Maintain high levels of awareness of market and competitor activity and customer trends, communicating these internally.
Develop company and partner concepts and business models with factors such as market segmentation, value proposition development, product positioning, pricing strategy, channel strategy, etc.
Initiate and complete proposals, presentations, negotiations, establishment of terms and conditions for a variety of transaction / arrangement types including distribution / syndication arrangements, sales, traffic acquisition, data acquisition and licensing, technology and intellectual property licensing, mergers/acquisitions/divestitures, and other strategic alliances.
Develop and manage B2C distribution channels, B2B sales, corporate gifting, and bulk orders.
Manage communication with all potential partners and represent Ashley Chloe in meetings with staff and senior executives from other companies. Create strategic roadmap for each partner to develop the relationships and increase revenues.
Identify growth opportunities within existing partnerships and supports negotiation and contract agreement with all relevant parties.
Develop plans regarding target partner candidates, evaluation criteria / rationale, prioritization in relation to strategy goals. Identify, source, open, develop, negotiate and manage relationships with strategic partners in industries targeted to be relevant to Ashley Chloe, Inc.’s strategic goals.
Plan, develop, implement, roll out and manage strategic PR and marketing programs to achieve significant increases in brand awareness and revenue.
Generate interest for products among potential partners by attending conferences, commissioning marketing materials and product demos.
- Responsible for reporting and forecasting performance on a weekly basis.
5 to 10+ years of experience in e-commerce, retail, consumer electronics, or the fashion tech space with an emphasis on strategy development / analysis, partner negotiations and deal execution.
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be articulate and comfortable when dealing with people at all levels.
Proven ability to build and develop a sales team utilizing proven sales process.
Partnership development capabilities, transaction experience, and familiarity with complex contracts negotiation..
Strong analytical skills including experience building, evaluating and clearly presenting complex business models are critical).
Client facing experience into high profile retailers, particularly on partnership objects.
Superior strategy development skills.
Solid understanding of P&L’s and key account margins and profitability.
Extensive knowledge of online business models and consumer technology products.
Strong leadership capabilities with proven track record of success and execution with high standards of professionalism.
- Must be willing to travel nationally and internationally at times on short notice.
Must have the capability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated, sometimes working unsociable hours, with ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision.
Comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, and ambiguous environment. Ready to jump in quickly to set up a plan and be incredibly diligent.
