The Helix Cuff™, Fashion Wearable by Ashley Chloe Inc Named a CES Innovation Awards Honoree

Fashion Meets Function with Wireless Bluetooth® Headphones Coiled in Portable Wrist Cuff

SAN FRANCISCO — Jan 4, 2016— The Helix Cuff™ has won the CES Innovation Awards 2016 in the Wearable Technologies category, and is the first fashion wearable with extractable headphones. Ashley Chloe, the company behind the Helix Cuff™, aimed at bridging the gap between fashion and function in wearable tech, is launching its flagship digital wearable, the Helix Cuff™, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016. The product was successfully funded on Kickstarter and was awarded “Kickstarter Staff Pick” and saw a whopping US$264,205 worth of funds raised from nearly 2000 supporters - the highest for “Fashion Wearable” category.

"The Helix Cuff™ was created from seeing the gap in the current wearable market, bringing together beautiful design, the latest technologies and stunning functionality," raved Angela Pan, Founder & CEO of Ashley Chloe. "Winning the CES Innovation Awards shows the recognition that Helix Cuff™ received within the industry."

Amidst the wearables market, which is overflowing with fitness trackers, biomarkers, and smart watches, there has never existed a complementary accessory allowing you to effortlessly store your headphones while keeping them with you at all times—until Helix. Fundamentally, the marriage of fashion and functional design to create a storage element for headphones simply didn’t exist; Ashley Chloe thus aims to disrupt the unaddressed space with the innovative wearable design enabled by Bluetooth® 4.1 technology. Helix’s headphones are powered by Qualcomm and CSR chipset and feature aptX® technology to provide CD-like high-quality stereo audio, smart multipoint connectivity to enable simultaneous connectivity to two devices and seamless switching between them, and cVc® technology to increase voice quality and reduce background noise.

The Helix Cuff™ was designed and engineered by a team of product design and engineering veterans from Nest, GoPro, Nokia, IBM, and Lenovo. With the recognition of a CES Innovation Awards and an incredibly successful crowdfunding campaign, Ashley Chloe will introduce the Helix Cuff™ to the market in 2016 creating a collision of  the wearable and headphones industries that has never happened before. Our vision as we move forward with this revolutionary product includes finding new distribution partners, discovering new technologies for the Helix Cuff™’s next generation as well as for future products, and seeing sales momentum spike with increased exposure to the market.

The Helix Cuff™ is available in six colors including black with black metal embellishments, black or white with silver or champagne gold metal embellishments, and in a 24K plated-gold edition in bright red. Helix is sold at the Ashley Chloe website.
