Music at SXSW: 4 Amazing Music Artists + Their Cult-Worthy New Songs

SXSW is one of the biggest music events of the year where artists come from around the world to Austin, Texas and show off their latest albums and new songs. While we all can’t be there in person, we can still enjoy these amazing acts and their fantastic music.

Last year, the electronic line-up at SXSW grew to include underground influencers and more. At SXSW 2016, you can expect an even bigger line-up with new-comers and fan favorites alike. We’ve found 4 fantastic DJs that have a fun connection with our very own Helix Cuff. Get your playlist ready because you’ll definitely want to add some of these artists to your collection.

In 2013, CHVRCHES went from complete anonymity to worldwide exposure. Their first album, The Bones Of What You Believe, came without a plan or purpose and went on to reach 500,000 sales around the world.

CHVRCHES is a great example of what happens when you dedicate yourself to your passions and put in hours and hours of hard work. Three people in a Glasgow basement made music they believed in and stormed the world.

Along the same line, passion and hard work is what made the Helix Cuff possible. We’ve spent countless hours prototyping, designing, and forming the Helix Cuff into what it is today and with its official release on the horizon, we couldn’t be more excited and more thankful that we put in those hours of hard work.

CHVRCHES is no amateur at SXSW. “Nobody had expected this band to go as far as it has. Now we are in unchartered territory,” Martin, the band’s instrumentalist related, “I don’t know how far this band can go. I can feel it and it’s crazy.” The band’s latest release, “Leave A Trace” debuted last August. It’s upbeat sound is dance-ready and is definitely one you’ll want to experience with the Helix Cuff.

For a fantastic up-and-comer group, you need to check out 2ToneDisco. They’re an internet inspired dance act that promises to be much more than your standard act. With heavy influences in digital music and games, they impress with a vibrant, fast sound that you’re sure to find intoxicating.

2ToneDisco is made up of Omni Rutledge and James Campbell who blend their styles to create a video-game flashback, electro/nu-disco sound.

We’re all about blend at Ashley Chloe. The Helix Cuff was created as a perfect blend between fashion and function. Wireless headphones are incredibly convenient for on-the-go music and we take that concept to the next level by incorporating a sleek design and headphones with high quality audio.

Based in Los Angeles, California, 2ToneDisco isn’t too far from Ashley Chloe headquarters, so we’re excited to share this duo on the rise. 2ToneDisco just released a new song, “Internet Bounce”, that’s both playful and impressive with its complex makeup. We also love their song, “Weekend”. You won’t want to miss out on that one.

The Chainsmokers

It’s very likely that you’ve already heard The Chainsmokers hit song “#SELFIE” and follow-up “Roses”, but the DJ/Producer duo has made it clear that this is just the beginning. Their latest song, “Don’t Let Me Down” is already huge (over 7 million views on Youtube)  and one we think you’ll love.

The Chainsmokers have a reputation for wild antics, addicting shows, a signature sound mixing indie, progressive, and pop. Drew Taggart, 26, and Alex Pall, 30, are the Chainsmokers and the success they found just by accident with “#SELFIE” proves they can be trusted for a load of big hits. Pall told USA TODAY, “It happened so naturally. It was a really great experience to watch unfold."

We agree that the best things unfold naturally. The Helix Cuff creators noticed how tangled and lost headphones seemed to be universal problems and their solution came about naturally. With Bluetooth Wearable Headphones on your wrist, accessing your music takes seconds. The Chainsmokers’ viral songs are perfect for your workout playlist.

DJ Jazzy Jeff is no new-comer. Since 1985, he’s been killing it with one-of-a-kind turntable skills and innovative productions. At just 10 years old, DJ Jazzy Jeff began spinning records and clearly developed an impressive talent. You may know him for partnering with Will Smith, but he’s also done amazing things on his own.

Recently, DJ Jazzy Jeff has been traveling around the world taking fans on a musical journey. His tours typically include two annual European tours, regular tours of Canada, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East, and shows across the US throughout the year.

With all that travel, we can’t help but hope he’ll use the Helix Cuff. Getting your music on-the-go can be annoying, but it won’t be for much longer. With your headphones right on your wrist, you’ll be able to access your favorite new songs in seconds. That means no more minutes lost searching for your headphones in your bag or untangling headphones. The Helix Cuff’s high quality headphones are wireless and built for travel.
