Valentine’s Day Ideas
1. Take a cooking class together.
Falling into a monotonous routine of grilled chicken and veggies? Embrace Valentine’s day as the perfect opportunity to sharpen your cooking skills while still enjoying a fun and romantic night together. Check Groupon for cooking classes in your area!
2. Take the day off work and do absolutely nothing all day.
Do you ever fantasize about doing nothing? Spend a day of nothing with the one you love, minus the responsibilities. Don’t forget to put your phones away so that you can focus on each other without distractions!
3. Just dessert.
Chocolate. Eat all the chocolate. Take your date out to a beautiful restaurant and order dessert and a bottle of wine for the ultimate indulgent evening.
4. Go to a local comedy club.
There’s nothing like sharing a laugh together. Research local comedy clubs, and make sure to get there early to grab a good seat. This idea is especially great for first dates, as you’ll have plenty of material to joke and reflect on at the end of the night.
6. Have a wine tasting soiree.
In the Bay Area, we are lucky enough to have beautiful Sonoma county just a few hours drive away. Do a quick search, and you’ll be surprised how many smaller wineries there are in your area! There’s no better way to spend Valentine’s Day than with your best friends and a good glass of wine.
7. Themed cocktail party.
Get a little creative, and plan a wacky themed cocktail party for all of your single friends. Stock up your bar at BevMo, require costumes to attend, and have a stellar night sipping away with the girls!
8. have a Shopping extravaganza.
In case you needed an excuse to go shopping with your friends, here it is! We think your wardrobe needs an update, too! Head out to your local mall and end the day with dinner and drinks.
Need we say more? It wouldn’t be Galentine’s Day without waffles, so dust off the old waffle iron, add a few chocolate chips, and pull up a good movie on Netflix. Eating waffles with great company has never been more socially acceptable than today!
10. Head out to see some live music!
February 14th is a pretty popular day for live music. Check your local listings, invite some friends, and enjoy your favorite band in all of their glory. Don’t forget to pick up a band tee to commemorate the day!
12. Attend a workout class.
Celebrate your body by signing up for a group workout class. Dancing, spin, and yoga are all fantastic ways to spend a few hours of your Valentine’s Day and get those endorphins pumping.
13. Have a feast.
You know how it can be really embarrassing to eat spaghetti or a a messy burger in front of someone else? The advantage to spending Valentine’s Day solo is that you don’t have to worry about whether or not you have food on your face. Dig in and enjoy that meal!
14. Wander around a museum.
Satisfy your curiosity, and learn a little bit on the way. Going to a museum is a great activity to do solo, because you don’t have to worry about spending too much time on one exhibit.
15. Attend a singles event.
If you aren’t perfectly satisfied being single, that’s ok too. Put a little extra effort into your look, and head out to singles event in your area. Check out Eventbrite for parties near you!
