4 NYFW Trends We're Crushing On

In the world of fashion, New York Fashion Week is one of the most important events of the year. It is a time that the biggest names in fashion gather together to present the latest trends for the upcoming season.

Just recently, the NYFW was staged in two locations throughout New York. Those in attendance were wowed by the most stunning creations and extravagant fashion shows of the year. Among the most talked about shows include Calvin Klein's American Horror movie theme references and the daring performance by motocross stuntmen at Rihanna's Fenty x Puma show. It was, indeed, a stunning event that will inspire future shows.

But apart from the flashy names and risque productions, a number of trends were spotted at this year's NYFW. And no, we're not talking about the pregnant model from Eckhaus Latta's show. Much more than that, these trends deserve getting the spotlight too!

Technicolor Hair

It's time to retire platinum hair and start embracing the new trend-- technicolor hair. The trend was spotted at Alexander Wang's show, who showcase models with hair cut and colored in dramatic hues.

Not to mention, the Queen of Social Media, Kim Kardashian West drew attention for her new icy silver hair; a look that brings back memories from her hubby's Yeezy Season 3 collection in 2016.

Bob Hair

Apart from hair color, it looks like the bob won't be going away anytime soon. As seen on a number of attendees and models from NYFW, hair is something that people can play around with. Many wore their hair above the shoulder with various styles-- tousled/sleek, Smurf blue/platinum. This is one trend that everyone seems to be loving ATM.

Bright-Colored Eyeshadow

This year's NYFW also brought back the iconic bright eyeshadow trend that many had long forgotten. But considering how much independent women are being celebrated right now, it's a surprise this trend hasn't been brought back sooner!

One of the favorites during the show was makeup artist, Fatima Thomas' statement eye by combining a blurred bronze shadow with a hue of fiery orange, standing out at the eyes' inner corners!

The Graphic Eye

At last, we can finally say goodbye to the classic smoky eye look and play around with our eyeliners. As witnessed at Tom Ford's show, models walked around the room with glittery and glossy rounded cat eyes. The trend was also seen on models like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid at Jason Wu's show. The models were photographed with military green "fingerprints" on their lids.

The graphic eye trend was also seen at Ulla Johnson and Diane von Furstenberg's shows.

With these trends, the only thing left to say is: WOW!
