Busy business woman by day and avid cook by night, Ashley Chloe's CEO Angela Pan, discusses some of her favorite things, traditions, and dishes during the holidays. Get to know a little bit more about our founder below!
What are your favorite songs to play over the holiday?
Angela Pan: Enya is always a go-to favorite for me. Enya’s warm voice paired with breathtaking instrumentals never fails to relax me during the holidays. “Orinoco Flow” is one of her most classic songs and it’s always on rotation for me! I have an Amazon Echo at home and I love the convenience of asking Alexa to play all my favorite Enya songs.
What is your go to Thanksgiving food?
Angela Pan: I love to cook during Thanksgiving and in general! For me, cooking is a way of meditation. It’s a combination of both art and science. Cooking allows people to step away from their busy lives and take a moment to be with their loved ones. While it’s not a typical Thanksgiving food, Raclette Cheese is one of my absolute favorites. It’s a dish that allows people to gather around a table and truly share a dish with one another. Last year, we purchased about 15 pounds of cheese, but we still managed to eat it all!
What are your staple accessories/wardrobe?
Angela Pan: I’m lucky to live in San Francisco, while it does get chilly, it’s not quite as cold as many other places! I’m still able to drink my iced Chais from Philz Coffee without freezing! My staple winter wardrobe pieces are my herringbone wool coat, my tan blazer, and my Tory Burch ankle boots. I always have my space gray Macbook with me, which I like to carry in my casual black Cuyana laptop sleeve. Last but not least, I don’t go anywhere without my Helix Cuff headphones, I’m always ready to hop on a call or listen to my music anytime and anywhere.
What are you most thankful for?
Angela Pan: Every year, I am beyond grateful for everyone involved in Ashley Chloe. Every team member and everyone who has helped out means so much to me. I can’t begin to express how much I appreciate their dedication to Ashley Chloe, many of them are so willing to give up so much of their free time to help the company thrive. To me, they are like a second family and I can’t praise them enough. Of course, I am also thankful for my husband, Anson. He is my business partner, life partner, and soulmate. I can never thank him enough for his support and for being my companion on this journey.
